Exam Time in the Library – What you need to know!
November is exam time and the Library will be busy.
To help YOU study:
- All floors of the Library are quiet zones during November. If you need to talk, try the Learning Lounge on Level 1
- Training Room 3 (Level 1) and the Exhibition area (behind the iDesk, Level 2) are now open as additional study space.
- Do not leave your belongings unattended. Other Library users are permitted to remove your belongings from study/computer desks to the floor if left unattended for 15 minutes.
- Access to passages, fire doors and stairs must be kept clear.
- Laptop cords cannot cross walkways.
- Lifts are for staff and disabled users only.
- Please put your rubbish in a bin or take it with you.
Got a Presentation coming up?
The Library now has a Presentation Practice Room on Level 1 where you can polish your performance.
You can book the room for up to two hours.
Please note this is not a general study room.

In preparation for the new Library we are tagging 1.4 million items. Expect some temporary closures to sections of the Collection as this work continues. Closed sections will be posted on a noticeboard as you enter the Library. See the iDesk on Level 2 for further information.
